Odometer for Seven-Year-Olds

Ian got a pedometer yesterday, and he spent much of the day reporting on his paceage.

As we left a Vietnamese restaurant last night, where we had supper, he reported, "While I was in there, I took one-thousand-and-one steps."

I have a sneaking suspicion that he takes extra, unnecessary steps just to boost his record.
