The Gold Standard

This evening, Daniel told Ian "Dollars are my favorite kind of money."

(I didn't break the news to him that increasingly fewer people around the world share his feelings.)

Ian asked him, "Haven't you ever heard of a thing called 'gold'?"

Daniel recognized that gold was Pirates' money, and that he likes that too.
