Valentine: The Castle of Hearts
Ian made a beautiful, elaborate valentine for me and Amy at school, about the size of a small dinner plate. On one side, it has three cut-out hearts in the three corners of the valentine - two red hearts up top with "O" on them, and one pink hart, at the bottom, with "X" on it. He also drew two hearts on either side, and one in the middle, over the "X" heart, containing the message, "I love you with all the herts you see."
Toward the top, spanning the two "ventricles," you see B on one side and a heart on the other: probably short-form for "Be my valentine."
On the other side, he has two hearts drawn, one on top of the other, with "Mom and Dad" in one and "Ian" in the other, plus a smiley-heart-face and and on the right-hand side, "V V [heart]". There's a "To" to the left of the "Mom and Dad" heart, and a "From" to the left of the "Ian heart.
Above those hearts is the inscription: "the kasel of herts," which, as he told me, conveys "the castle of hearts"
