Behind every mundane object is a bat-something.

Amy called me at work, in the middle of the day, to report that everybody had capes, aside from her: Ian was Batman, Daniel was Robin, and Madeleine was Bat-girl.

When I came home, the capes were still part of the house uniform, and Robin gave me a tour of the Bat-Cave, and vicinity. The tour included this detail:

"...and there are telephones right here, which are actually Madeleine's shoes..."
