Realism Kicks In

Daniel wants to open a toy, but I have no idea whether Amy's saving it for some occasion, so I told him he has to ask her if he can open it, and she's out in the driveway cleaning out the car right now. Daniel got a bit impatient waiting for her, and the following re-assessment of our timeframe ensued:

Daniel: Daddy, when will Mommy come in?

Me: Probably in a few minutes.

Daniel: More than a few minutes - 21 days.
