Accurate Reporting

Ian told me this evening that he's really looking forward to giving Christmas presents to me, Daniel and Adam on Christmas. [Adam is his friend from school.] It suddenly occurred to me that Mommy was conspicuously absent from the list of intended recipients, and that it might be my duty to help him get a present for her, so I asked him, "What about Mommy?"

Ian had that covered already:

"She said that I shouldn't buy anything for her. She said that she already bought herself a lot of presents."
