Empiricism

Daniel was throwing pieces of wood at the shed at the far-end of our back yard, and I could hear them crashing against the wall. This caused me to gently suggest to Daniel that he discontinue this excellent activity. However, Daniel had a very logical explanation for it:

"I'm trying to see which one is tougher."
