Daniel likes to hide and have me come find him - kind of an informal rendition of hide-and-seek - but he also likes to monitor and even narrate the ritual, to make sure I don't get too far off course in my pursuit of him. The other evening, I was "looking" for him in the playroom, and he was crouched in his usual niche between the book-case and the wall, and I "couldn't" see him anywhere, but he wanted to make sure I didn't give up on the location, so he called out from his secluded spot - "Daddy - keep looking in here."
