Spelling Bee for People with Good Short-Term Memory

Daniel likes to spell out "words" such as "pllal" and "lleslleseadc", and ask me what they "spell."

A couple of minutes ago, he ran a long cluster of letters by me, asking what they spell, and I asked him to repeat the sequence.

He was distraught, and answered on the verge of tears:

"I can't spell it again, because I forgot about it."
