Something You Can't Get at the Pet Store

Tonight Ian was telling me the heroic story of Golden's [and Ruthie's] heroic rescue from the pet shop. He told me that in the pet store itself, he told Golden that if he's good for Mommy then Mommy will let him come home, and he was, in fact, good for Mommy, and Mommy let him come home.

Ian also opined that there were things dogs need that they couldn't get living in a pet store. I agreed.

A minute or so later, he specified, ""Daddy, the ingredient I'm thinking of is love - lots and lots of love."
