The preponderance of evidence indicates guilt
Daniel called me stupid and ran out of the kitchen, as I yelled at him to come back for a proper scolding. In the process, he ran past Ian, who was practicing violin in another room, and Ian eagerly reported the following:
"Daddy, when he went past me, he was definitely smiling and kind-of-like celebrating that he did that. He's definitely guilty of that."
