Best Friends Anonymous

Last week, Ian mentioned his best friend who, unsurprisingly for this ladies' man, turned out to be a girl from school.

I asked him what her name was, but he wasn't sure: he had meant to find out, but it had rained the previous day, so there was no recess, and he couldn't ask her.
