Accuracy in Reporting

I was doing one of those routine headcounts that parents and other custodians do to make sure that all of the residents are present in good order, so I called downstairs to Ian:

Me: Ian!

Ian: Yes?

Me: Is Daniel down there?

Ian responded in a highly tonal mode, oozing indignation:

"Yes... Spitting at me..."
