Umbilical Alert
Yesterday, Madeleine opened up a box of treasured items and dumped out their contents, such as the babies' hospital wristbands from when they were born. One of the items was Ian's umbilical cord, and he asked the baby-sitter:
"Can't you help me find my belly-button?"
She was confused.
He clarified: "I need you to help me find my belly-button!"
Later he told me that Madeleine had stolen the thing that went between Mommy and him before he was born.
