Logophilia and Our Youth
In Sociology 101, they would likely tell you how an American two-year-old can already recognize corporate logos, in spite of their tender age. But they might not tell you how, by the age of four, the same child can develop an actual love for those same logos. Daniel, Madeleine and I shared an order of French fries from Wendy's yesterday, and he had the apparently extremely lovable box from that transaction on his lap when he made the following announcement:
"I love looking at the picture of Wendy on the French-fry box."
