Winter Magic Descends
Ian announced to me this evening: "Daddy, today I discovered winter magic."
He went on to explain that the magic happened when the sunlight hit the window of his school bus, and he saw colors of pink, yellow and blue.
I asked him whether there was ice or snow there, thinking maybe their glistening had some role in the "winter" aspect of winter magic, but it turned out that there was no snow or ice on the window in question.
Then Ian clarified exactly why the phenomenon constituted winter magic:
"'Winter', because it happened in winter, and 'magic' because it's magic."
