Entertainment Tonight

Tonight, I let the children watch a video, which is somewhat unusual for me. (In this case, it was "Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang.) As the movie ended, Daniel and I had a conversation that went more or less like this:

Daniel: Daddy, I thought you didn't like TV.

Me: I don't.

Daniel: Daddy, when you were a boy, did you like TV?

Me: Yes.

Daniel: When you were a boy, did you like to watch the Wiggles?

Me: There were no Wiggles when I was a boy; they're new.

Daniel: When you were a boy, did you like to watch Batman?

Me: Yes. I loved Batman.

Daniel: I love Batman. He's my favorite of my favorite superheroes.
