Keeping Ahead of the Story

Daniel and Ian were in the livingroom, and suddenly Daniel started crying. Both of them immediately headed into the diningroom, where Amy and I were, presumably to report the event, with Ian slightly ahead of Daniel in the stampede.

Ian provided an objective, thorough, and highly plausible account of the self-inflicted injury:

"Daniel was just fooling around with my head, and ended up hurting his head instead of mine."
