Garbagemen and Knights of the Postmodern Age

Ian was ceremonially blocking the doorway from the dining room to the living room, and he let me through, but continued to block Daniel. (I don't know how I became associated with the profession, cited below, although I did take note of its 21st-century gender-free reincarnation.)

Daniel: Why did Daddy get through?

Ian: Because he's a garbage worker.

Daniel: I'm a garbage worker, too.

Ian: No - you're a knight.
