Verisimilitude

I was already downstairs this morning, and meanwhile the boys crawled into bed with Amy. Later, Ian cam downstairs but Daniel was still up in our bed, and I heard Amy sternly ordering Daniel out of the bed, and Ian explained the circumstances, with a story that ended:

"...and Daniel was torturing Nikkei [the dog] and that waked Mommy up and while we were moving around that waked Madeleine up."
