The Court Duly Notes that Exhibit A is Not a Monkey

Last night, as I was getting Daniel ready for bed, he was especially eager to climb on my back and ride me around the house. He took particular pleasure in getting me to bend over, hoodwinking me into letting him get onto my back, and then asking me to stand up - resulting in my utter astonishment at suddenly having a three-year-old riding me around the house like some rude beast of burden.

Around toothbrushing time, he was particularly driven to ride my back, and I looked in the bathroom mirror and saw him beaming as he clung to my upper torso. At that point, I made the absurd observation that he resembled, in some slight way, a little monkey.

However, Daniel presented solid evidence to the contrary:

"Daddy, look at my face. I don't have monkey-stuff on my face. My feet don't look like monkeys. Monkeys have three hands."
