The Doctors that Have So Much Bridges

Daniel, this morning, referred to "the doctors that have so much bridges."

At first, I probably suspected this came entirely out of his rich inner-life. However, I followed up with a few questions, to see if there was any way to square this category with external reality, and after he tried to explain it a bit more, I suddenly got it, and saw that the reference came directly out of his own experience.

So who/what is/are the doctors that have so much bridges?

It's the hospital where Madeleine was born.

Why?

When Amy had just given birth to Madeleine and I took the boys a few times to visit Mommy and new-Sis, we parked in the parking lot across the street from the hospital, and got to the actual hospital by taking a covered, aerial footbridge, which connects the garage to to the rest of the complex. (This is especially memorable because Ian and Daniel loved to run across the bridge, playing and bantering with each other the whole way, to the amusement of all kinds of nurses, administrators and visitors.)

So yes. The doctors that have so much bridges is a hospital about eight miles from our house. I think I might recommend a formal name-change; people will recognize the place so much more easily with a name borne of the common experience of most visitors.
