Dancing dictates the agenda; not the agenda, Dancing

The boys put celebrated Mommy's night at school, and hence Daddy's night of benign neglect, by watching the Wiggles' safari video, and then watching it again. There was dancing all over - Daniel and Ian on the couch, Madeleine in her jumperoo. At one point, they instructed me to go put on my Greg shirt, so I'm wearing, at this moment, a yellow button-down shirt and my black sweatpants (right color, if not fabric...). Meanwhile, Daniel became Murray for the evening.

When Ian put the video on a second time, I was going to veto this violation of the one-video-per-day rule, but it was obvious they wanted to dance and sing some more, and that's rather antithetical to the Couch Potato syndrome that I'm trying to resist.

But about two-thirds of the way through the second showing, Ian abruptly turned off the video and ejected it from the DVD player. Of course, I asked him why he did that, and he explained, very logically, "Well Daddy, I didn't feel like dancing any more."
