Any revolutionary worth his salt believes that violence really can make things right. But the real professionals are the ones who, while indiscriminate at the outset, can optimize their targets as new information comes in:

Ian (running away): Daniel's trying to get me!

Daniel: I'm trying to pull your hair because you turned off the TV.

Ian: Mommy told me to turn it off.

Daniel: Then I'll pull her hair!
