Update: My Name is Anthony

This morning, Greg and Murray were completely out of the running. Their respective yellow and red turtlenecks had successfully been removed from Young Daniel's reach, for purposes of laundering, so the next available candidate in the line-up was Anthony. I suspect that Anthony must wear blue (I'm not completely sure - I'm not quite as attached to the Wiggles crew as Daniel, which Amy would probably find reassuring). Amy had the whole thing rigged as soon as she dressed Daniel, repeating to Daniel many times, and then to me, that Daniel was Anthony, since the key to establishing a "new reality" is repetition. He was wearing an ever-so-euro blue-and-green-striped Hanna Andersson turtleneck, and Amy had apparently employed temporary-suspension-of-belief to convince the lad that he looked like Anthony - by virtue of the fact that roughly 50% of of his shirt actually *was* blue, and that it was a turtleneck, after all... I threatened to blow her cover, kind of "out" the striped fraud of it all, but she gave me a dirty look, and I wouldn't have done so anyway, since it would crush Daniel *and* he would have spent the rest of the day looking for the laundry.

So Daniel was Anthony. This was brought back to my scatterred attention when I made the mistake of calling him "Love": "I'm not Love; my name is Anthony". (Probably more like "Wuv" and "Anfony", but we all know this identity-clarification pattern by now... Daniel is very consistent in setting the Wiggles record straight.)

Follow-up: Ian asked me what I was typing, so I read a bit of it to him, and he said, "Daddy, there isn't that much stuff about Anthony."

He also outed the striped-factor to me just now, in a way that I didn't dare do myself this morning:

"Daniel had everything wrong about Anthony..." and "Daniel did't actually look like Anthony. He needed a comletely blue shirt and completely black pants and wear a Wiggles belt and sound like a Wiggle, oh, and be bigger."

I don't know. He had me fooled.
