Process of Elimination

Tonight, I gave each of the boys an airplane glider - those wood-bordering-on-fragile-cardboard planes we used to play with in the 70's. Ian wanted me to throw his, and I rendered a highly wimpy throw with my left hand. Then I corrected myself, saying, "I should really throw it with my right hand," and of course, that throw was far more manly...

Ian got very interested in the right-vs-left thing (he has been exploring that duality for a couple of weeks now), so as he threw the plane, he'd come by and check, from time to time, to make sure that he was throwing with his right hand, since it worked out so well for me.

At one point, he said, "Daddy, is this my right hand?"

Me: Yes.

Ian: How about this? (showing his other hand...)
