* Yes, he really did say this. I think the imperative is based on her role as parent, per se; I received a similar correction recently, although not nearly as eloquent. In all fairness, she did yell at him just prior to this.
** Yes, he really did open and close the reprimand with "Mommy".

That's CHURCH syntax, that is! "You are made to...."
Maybe he's been reading Dale Carnegie and knows to use someone's name when trying to win and influence them.
