Revenge against the Time-Out-Givers
Dad: I love you, Daniel.
Daniel: I don't love you and Mommy.
Dad: Why not?
Daniel: Because you're giving** me time-out.
(September 9, 2008)
**"giving" here seems to be meant as "tend to give" rather than the present progressive tense. At the time of the actual conversation, Daniel was riding on my shoulders, coming back from a walk on the beach.
But for full disclosure, we *do* give him time-outs, which would explain the appropriate wholesale rejection.
